Namibia's Portuguese Community has about 1,500 residents, with about 2000 Portuguese resorting to the consular services of the Embassy of Portugal in Windhoek. Namibia's Portuguese Community has a Portuguese Community Councilor, representing the Portuguese Communityof Namibia in the Portuguese Communities Council (Manuel Coelho (manuelc@africaonline.com.na). There is only one association "The Namibian Codfish Academy".
